Nick was raised in Auckland and was Organ Scholar of Holy Trinity Cathedral while studying at the University of Auckland. He worked at Dilworth School and St Cuthbert's College as organist and accompanied many choirs around the city regularly.
He came to Christchurch in 2012 and was Assistant Organist of ChristChurch Cathedral and Organist & Music Tutor at Christ's College. Throughout this time, he completed a teaching qualification and has taught Music, Religious Education, and English at Christ's. In July 2017, Nick went to Auckland to spend time as Acting Director of Music at Holy Trinity Cathedral. He returned to Christchurch in July 2018 and is working back as Organist & Teacher at Christ's College, and is also Associate Director of Music at St Mary's Pro-Cathedral.
Nick took over the role of MD in November 2018.
Richard Oswin is a semi-retired primary school teacher who works with several instrumental and choral groups around Christchurch. Since 1984 he has been associated with the Christchurch Schools’ Music Festival Association serving in a variety of roles as accompanist, massed choir conductor, music director and president.
He dabbles in composition having had several works commissioned and performed by the NZSSC.
